Effective Delegation
Due to the diverse make-up of a cross functional team, effective delegation will drive the level of productivity by increasing the capacity, capability, and the learning curve of individuals and the team. Empowering, stretching, and creating a risk taking environment will enable the team to strive for "breakthrough thinking" which will lead to "record setting goals." The module will focus on key elements and characteristics of effective delegation. It will teach how to delegate to team members and how to monitor the work process. Bottom line "effective delegation" provides the opportunity to challenge and leverage two major team and organization propositions. 1) How do you move work down to the lowest effective level of the team and organization. 2) Seventy percent of anyone's work can be done by other team members.

Team Problem Solving
If we start with the simple fact 70% of work done by a team is focused on problem solving activities, it is imperative from an investment and outcome perspective that team members have the skills, power, processes , and tools to effectively handle the complex problem solving environment. The new business marketplace demands this capability and capacity from a team to work in concert with customers and suppliers in supply chain relationships to turn these problems into leveraged, collaborative supply chain wins. The module will provide the team with key characteristics of problem solving with a seven step problem solving process and with a problem solving tool kit. What will happen to overall team productivity if they are successful in converting a high percentage of their long term problem solving situations into business winning opportunities?

Customer Business Development (CBD)
A critical factor in positioning your organization to compete and win is to establish cross functional business teams (made up of all the right resources to properly service your targeted customers and suppliers) that will work with key targeted customers (80/20). These teams will design business plans that will tie together the combined needs of the targeted customers and the company's strategic plan. These teams will become a "Selling Organization" representing the vested interests of the company. They will collaboratively work with customers in planning, designing, implementing, measuring, and continuously improving the desired outcomes. Each member of the CBD will be trained in the "Seven Step Sales Process" to improve the productivity of team members to "sell" both internally and externally.
