Build Alignment

Active Team Communication
The team's ultimate level of productivity will be determined by how effectively the flow of internal and external information is handled. This module will build a platform for how "effective communication" is connected, engaged and linked in a team environment. The module will build a broad-base understanding for effective communication by defining effective communication, building basis for team communication, discussing interactive communication skill needs, building a case for meetings as a continuum for communication, agreeing to institute reliable communications systems and establishing the importance of long-term relationship built on effective communication. What is the cost to an organization when communications are not handled in a timely and accurate manner?

Optimize Team Productivity Through Meetings
The productivity of a "cross functional" team work environment is simply determined by the effectiveness of meetings. Effective team work demands individuals or groups meet regularly to access, design, plan, implement, and measure their work. All meetings, regardless of scope and scale, should be strategic, agenda driven and principle based. This module builds the case for effective meetings as the methodology for optimizing team productivity and desired outcomes. It focuses on creating the responsibility of individuals to be prepared for all meetings regardless of their role as facilitator or participant. In this module, team alignment is built by connecting a strategic plan, building the agendas, and functioning based on agreed to meeting principles. Leaders learn a key alignment skill of "working the street." All team members are trained on facilitation and participation skills. Team members need to be willing to activate these skills in all internal and external meeting environments. What is the cost if 30-50% of meetings team members attend are not productive?

Win With Diversity
Based on the normal dynamics of a "cross functional" team, you are going to have differences in competencies, experiences, gender, age, race, perspectives, and opinions. In order to compete and win in the marketplace, a team needs to design itself based on these differences and learn how to value and leverage these differences as part of their proposition solution. Inclusion will be a valuable principle to design into the team make-up. This critical module will focus on building KA$H (Knowledge, Attitude, $kills, Habits).
